Goshen Stone -- Mica Schist from the Goshen Formation

This layered stone has flecks of mica and variable shades of grey with mineral oxides. Its characteristics make it ideal for use in stone walls, stone patios, stone steps, stone chimneys, landscaping stone, stone foundations, water features and more.

Our stone has been used in applications at The University of Massachusetts, Northfield Mount Herman School, Canyon Ranch and Stanley Park, and countless others. It has been highlighted in numerous local, regional and national magazines, and has been featured on the television show, "This Old House."

While we manufacture various products, our stone remains NATURAL and requires creativity, labor and flexibility during installation. Stone may weather and change color within the grey-brown spectrum over time. This is a normal part of the nature of the stone. Mortar use has been noted to increase the chance of brown coloration developing.
